I was recently invited up to the British Interactive Group Conference as a photographer. Spending a lot of my life in the Science Communication community it was a joy to photograph people doing the things they genuinely love doing and what they’re good at doing.
The type and range of workshops and talks are always interesting at these types of events. But usually presented in bland conference areas. It was nice to have little robots and flames to vary the interest.
A 3 day event in total meant there were a LOT of images to process. More often than not they’d be photo bursts to try and capture moments in time like the flame above.
We also did quite a bit of head shot work though for science communicators who just needed a photo that wasn’t them with something strange in their hands!
All in all a great few days with interesting subjects and demonstrations!
